The California Energy Commission sponsored the development of the OASys SEER 40 Plus and achieved its goal of producing an enhanced energy efficient air conditioning system. OASys is a technological breakthrough in Indirect/Direct evaporative cooling. The key to OASys is a unique heat exchanger combined with a single pump/blower configuration. Unlike conventional air conditioning systems, which re-circulate indoor air, OASys continuously conditions and delivers fresh outdoor air-the Outdoor Air System.
OASys and Fresh Air
A study conducted by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory supported by the California Energy Commission concluded that:
- Continuous supply of outside air removes indoor pollutants.
- Ventilation reduces indoor exposures to potentially harmful
compounds
- OASys provides thermal conditioning comparable to
conventional systems
- OASys used less energy
- OASys can simultaneously improve Indoor Environment
Quality and reduce energy

OASys Saves Time and Energy without sacrificing comfort.
Utility Testing Proves OASys Saves Money:
Outdoor temperature, indoor temperature and energy
consumption during four consectutive 90-95 degree
days in the same California home with refrigerant cooling
(AC) on the first and second day and with OASys
cooling on the third and forth days. Note the higher
internal temperatures and variability during the first
two days with AC (at 24 cents per hour) compared
with stable indoor temperatures and the near disappearance
of energy consumption by the fourth day
due to continuous low-speed OASys operation (at 1
cent per hour.)

To calculate your energy savings use the U.S. Department of Energy Cost
Calculator. The OASys will operate at a minimum equivalent efficiency of 40
SEER.

OASys A Natural for Clean, Renewable, Sustainable Energy
Sources
OASys has been designed to effectively operate from a variety of power sources. It can
use 110 VAC grid power, photovoltaic DC power, or uniquely, OASys can seamlessly
operate off a combination of AC and DC power without using an inverter.
