When window cleaning you find yourself dealing with old screens that has brittle screen or old plastic tabs, try not to use the tabs or touch the fabric screen with any pressure. Instead push against the frame of the screen. Sometimes you have to push at the tops and then the sides in order to get the screen lose.
Almost all screens have some sort of prongs that help hold the screens in place in the window frame. Sometimes after San Diego window cleaning these get bent behind the screen when the window cleaner puts it back in the window, at which point it can almost be impossible sometimes to remove the screen. You will need to use a flat screw driver and a lot of force at this point.
When it comes to sliding door screens, I make it a rule for my Oceanside window cleaning business not to remove them. They can be very difficult to remove and even harder to put back. Even though sometimes you can remove these screens by adjusting the wheels, this is still a long process and is not worth it. You should leave this screen on and clean it in place. Tell your window cleaning customers that you do not remove these screens.
Another type of screen that can be difficult to clean are screens that are made into a door, where there is no frame to remove, you have to wash the screen on the door and then pull the rubber out on all the sides but the top to get to the glass. If you have the right Escondido window cleaning tools then this should be simple as long as they don’t have more then two of these window types.
Sometimes when a screen does not come out you can still clean it in place. If you can get the window pane that slides out then you’re in business no problem. If all the windows are like this then you need to charge more for your Carlsbad window cleaning services.
