When window cleaning you find yourself dealing with old screens that has brittle screen or old plastic tabs, try not to use the tabs or touch the fabric screen with any pressure. Instead push against the frame of the screen. Sometimes you have to push at the tops and then the sides in order to get the screen lose.

Almost all screens have some sort of prongs that help hold the screens in place in the window frame.
